When you shop online with A Taste of the Region for our gourmet regional products, you will go through a quick and convenient process (outlined in further detail lower down in The Order Process). We accept payment via direct deposit, Paypal, and credit cards (through Paypal or Paymate, no account required), cheque or Bartercard (see lower down in How To Pay).

How To Pay

We aim to make payment as convenient, quick and as easy as possible. You can pay by Online Banking direct deposit, using your Paypal account, by cheque, or by Visa/Mastercard credit card (via the Paypal or Paymate systems, you do not need an account with either). Your quickest and easiest option is to pay using your Paypal account (if you don't yet have one, consider signing up with Paypal, we highly recommend it for its safety and convenience). • Paypal - simply follow the links and instructions in the Shopping Cart when you checkout (ie. finalise your order - see The Order Process below) to make instant payment online. This is your fastest payment option, and we do not see or record your credit card or bank account details.
  
• Credit Card - Checkout and choose the "Invoice" option (ie. do not choose Paypal) and then Reply to your Order Confirmation email with a request for a credit card link. We'll send you a link to a secure PayPal webpage where you will need to complete your credit card details (no PayPal account is needed). We will not see or record your credit card details.
  
• Online Banking direct deposit - transfer the full amount as shown on your Invoice using your Online Banking "Pay Anyone" (or equivalent) facility to the following bank account ;

• Bartercard - email us your Bartercard number, or phone it through on 1800 790 390, and we'll do the rest. All Bartercard payments are "authorised" with Bartercard.
• Cheque - make your cheque payable to "A Taste of the Region Pty Ltd", please write your Invoice number on the back of the cheque. Note that your order will not be dispatched until the cheque has cleared to our account, which may take up to a week.

The Order Process

• Browse

  Browse around the available items, choosing from the categories in the left-hand column or using the super categories in the menu at the top (Individual Items, Special Items). Selecting a category will display its items listed in brief on the main page, click on an item for its full details and a large photo. You can buy from either the full details or the list of items.
  

• Select & Add to Basket

  As you come across those you'd like to purchase, simply enter how many you want (default is 1) and click the "Buy" button. Your item will be added to your Basket, which you can see summarised in the left column, and the item will show how many you have in your Basket. At any time, click on "View Basket" to see exactly what you have chosen so far together with the shipping cost for those items. You can amend the quantities by changing the number of an item and clicking the "Update Total" button.

• Continue browsing

  From the Basket details page, just click on one of the super categories in the menu at the top (Buy Gourmet Products, Buy Gourmet Hampers, Specials & Featured Items) to resume browsing and selecting items, or if already in a product/list webpage just click on another category or super category to see different items.
  

• Checkout

  When you are done selecting your items and products, click the "View Basket" button in the left-hand column to see the full details of what's in your Basket. Double-check you have all that you want and in the right quantities. If you have a Paypal account already, click the "Paypal Express" button and follow the instructions given - you will transfer to the Paypal system and after payment has been made will return to A Taste of the Region's website again. If you prefer one of the other payment options, then click the "Proceed to Checkout" button.
  

• Login or Create account

  You will change to an encrypted connection between you and our system, to ensure that all your personal details remain confidential. If you have shopped with us before, you will have an account already along with your email address and a login password - simply enter your email address and password, and your details will be retrieved. If you have not shopped with us before, you will need to create an account - but don't worry, this is straightforward and only requires the information we need to be able to send your order to you (or your gift recipient) and to keep in contact with you about your order. • Fill in order details

  Once logged in to the checkout system, complete the steps as guided by the system to enter the delivery address, and to choose a payment method. If you select "Pay with Paypal", you will be taken to the Paypal system where you should be able to pay even without a Paypal account. If you select Proceed to Checkout you will be emailed an invoice which includes payment information such as our bank account details. Your order will be received by us immediately either way, but we will not despatch any goods until full payment has been received and cleared to our account.
