Winchelsea Café & Retail Outlet

A Taste of the Region's "Winchelsea Larder" offers a great place to stop for a break on the Princes Highway midway between Geelong and Colac. Part café and part retail outlet, Winchelsea Larder offers coffee & cake, light lunches, and sandwiches together with the full range of online regional food and drink items in a relaxing, comfortable environment with a great view of the historic Tea Rooms. Situated in the centre of the Winchelsea shopping strip, there is good parking (including for towing vehicles), disabled access, toilets (including wheelchairs) and it's easy to find! Just turn off the Princes Highway into the large car park after the bluestone bridge (coming from Geelong or Melbourne) - find us using Google Maps.

25 Main Street, Winchelsea

Middle of the shopping strip, right opposite the historic Winchelsea Tea Rooms

Our coffee is fairtrade and organic Jasper's coffee, and our hot chocolate is also fairtrade and organic. We aim to use as much of the local & regional produce in the menu as possible, which means you are likely to be able to buy some of the ingredients that you've just tasted. Have a browse of the shelves, you'll find all of the online range available and a few that cannot be sold online (such as cheeses).

Note that in the café, we cannot sell alcohol items for takeaway due to liquor licencing restrictions - the current licence is for a restaurant, so you are welcome to try a glass of the Red Wine or White Wine of the Day, or a bottle of one of the boutique beers, but all alcohol must be consumed on the premises with a meal. Planning permits are in progress to request permission to sell all our regional wines and beers retail!

Winchelsea Larder is currently open 7 days a week 9:30am to 5pm except Sunday when opening is a little later at 10am.

Some of the items you might find on the menu include ;
